Osteoporosis

 

Osteoporosis is a scheletal disorder involveing the progressive weakening of bones and junks, leading to fragility and breakage.

It is a physiologiacl process, more than a disorder, but the occurance of which increases with the age. however, it often occurs in younger people, and it is also influenced by lifestyle.

There is a genetic predisposition lying behind bones fragility and knowing the risk of incurring into osteoporosis before time, could help change the lifestyle properly to postpone the setup of the disorder.

 

The genetic test for osteoporosis risk analyzes polymorphysms of genes associated to bones calcification: BMP2, QPCT e LRP5.
